With great pleasure, the Committee of SENTA 2024 extends a heartfelt welcome to you for the 9th International Conference on Marine Technology and Application at the prestigious Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Indonesia. 

Since its inception in 2001, the Faculty of Marine Technology at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya has proudly hosted the annual SENTA conference. Originally known as Seminar Nasional Teknologi dan Aplikasi Kelautan (National Conference on Marine Technology and Application), this conference has served as a pivotal forum for researchers, engineers, and industry experts in Marine Technology across Indonesia. In 2016, recognizing the growing significance of global collaboration, SENTA transitioned into an international conference, thus expanding its reach, and enhancing its research network. 

We are thrilled to announce that the 8th International Conference on Marine Technology (SENTA 2024) will be held at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya, on 31 October 2024. This year’s conference theme, “Innovation in Marine Technology Toward Sustainable and Resilient Maritime Industry,” reflects our commitment to addressing the pressing challenges and opportunities within the maritime sector. As we navigate an era marked by rapid technological advancements and environmental concerns, the need for sustainable and resilient maritime solutions has never been more critical. 

At SENTA 2024, you can expect a rich program featuring keynote speeches from distinguished international experts, insightful technical sessions, and vibrant discussions. Our agenda is designed to foster an exchange of ideas, promote collaboration, and inspire innovation. In light of the critical global issues, we face today, the theme for the SENTA 2024 International Conference is “Innovation in Marine Technology Toward Sustainable and Resilient Maritime Industry.” This theme highlights the urgent need for technological advancements that promote sustainability and resilience within the maritime sector.
